What does it mean

What does a leaf says, when the outside/edge of it it's light green? I have 2 different Phal's and both have few leaves that are light green on the very edge perfectly lined all along of the leaf. Also is NOT on all the leaves.
Thanks ! for answers in advance. PS/ Both have (few) flowers bloomed. :waving |
If it is on all the leaves, I suspect that you have a variegated variety. The phals are bred to include that variegation in the leaf color. It would be best to post a picture to be sure.

I have this on one of my phals as well. I chalked out up to mechanical damage. A new leaf had grown in and does not have the "halo".

I just posted 2 pix. I
m really puzzled. |
Nutrient deficiency? Fungal invasion of the leaf tissue? Bacterial invasion? Viral? Or just variation in the chlorophyll in the leaf tissue. I see it in the central part of the leaf in pic one. Not to worry as long as it isn't spreading. Phals store moisture and nutrients in their tissues because they don't have pseudobulbs in which to store these. Phals start pulling these out as needed and the leaf ages.

Thank you James :) both plants seem to be doing well and flourishing even tho the leaves look like that. I'll keep in eye on them just in case. Thanks so much for your reply.
