NOID phal, first mount.
Not a huge deal for others, but made me very excited and I just had to share it with someone as the husband is a bit over my "hobby"
I mounted this noid phal. nearly two weeks ago onto a small fern slab and hung it on the wall at the back door under the patio. I've been bringing it in at night time as its dropping to around 12 degree's Celsius and I didn't want it going into shock or anything so soon after being mounted. It's rewarded me with a new leaf growth and just found today, new growth on a root that is now poking out through the moss. Like I said, it's not really much but I haven't been doing this very long and it got me super excited :) http://i1346.photobucket.com/albums/...ps05ecf15e.jpg http://i1346.photobucket.com/albums/...ps090c30fe.jpg http://i1346.photobucket.com/albums/...ps3b3eb571.jpg |
That's exciting! I like how you've mounted it with the leaves hanging as they do in the wild! Looks like it's off to a good start!

Thank you thank you! I'm loving watching them all grow. I have a small collection now of phals. and paphs. that I'm very happy with (but certainly don't mind adding to it)

Very nice work! The Phal seems extremely happy!!!

Congratulations! First mount is a big step for orchid lovers. I laughed when you indicated husband is a bit over hobby. Mine is too.
