Gifted keychain orchid seedling
1 Attachment(s)
I got an early birthday present from a friend, a P. Violacea seedling in a keychain! I've hung it by my other phals for now...that should be alright, right?
|
I found those once, was super excited, and could never find them again.
I really really want one. So cute! Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk |
I can ask them where they got it, if you like, Ordphien!

I'd like to know, too. That is so adorable! I had a cactus in a keychain but the cactus now grows in a pot (became too large). I thought about looking for a mini to put in the little container.
---------- Post added at 09:22 PM ---------- Previous post was at 09:05 PM ---------- My daughter and hubby looked at this and we think we will try to make some. Flasks are usually available at some of the shows and the bottles can probably be found at a craft store. Maybe I will have to find a min-orchid? No idea, yet. I think I'll look for the bottles this weekend, then see what I find at the Orchid shows. :) |
Valerie, to answer your earlier question - keep it warm and in diffused light. A flask (of any size) can become a "pressure cooker" in bright light.
|
My friend said they bought it from this listing on Ebay, and I've also found this one with a few more Phals available as well! I might order a P. Bellina seedling from them to keep my Violacea company hehehe

What a great idea! Thanks for telling us about it.
|
When do you take it out? I have never seen this before thanks for sharing.
|
It seems you take it out when it's ready for potting or it gets too big for the flask/jar/thingie
