Hello everyone. I bought a little one of this phal from a flower show but I've no idea about it's I'D. I would be great if anyone can help.

It isn't a Phalaenopsis. It's a Dendrobium hybrid of the Phalaenopsis type. The two have completely different cultural requirements and if you try to grow this as a Phalaenopsis you'll probably kill it. As to identifying the actual hybrid cross that is impossible.

Anyway I was also looking for the ID of the orchid in my avatar. You say that's a den-phal, right.
I've heard some one saying that den-phals are called so because they have large flowers like phals. But the orchid in avatar have normal sized flowers only.
Do plz correct me if I'm going wrong.Thank you

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong but I think they are referred as Phalaenopsis type Dendrobiums because the flowers are shaped a bit like a Phalaenopsis flower. Both, the dendrobium and Phalaenopsis, however, are going to be impossible to identify. They are both hybrids and there are thousands of hybrids with unlimited variation in each cross. The only way to get a name is from the original vendor if they even have a name.

Thank you Ron Hanko
