Paph. lowii
Another Paph lowii. Four buds on first bloom seedling. Hard to believe that I got it as a single growth (25cm) plant last spring (Maybe I just got used to the coryopedilum growth rate???). Another one from Mr. Bear. I think its an okay lowii. Still prefer a clone with a good flower count.

Nice! I dont know anything about these, is the long stem typical?
|
Yes, they are pretty long. Normally I would stake but not on these kinds. Cascading is the best presentation on this blooms in my opinion.

Its true, it really makes an impact. Beautiful, thank you for sharing :)

I love lowii.
I wish the plant was smaller. |

I almost bought haynaldianum (album) in bud at a show last month. It was indeed smallish.
I should have bought it just for instant gratification at least, but I had two big shopping bags loaded with paphs (maudiaes and parvis) and some others. lol Well, I went back on sunday and it was of course gone. lol How big does Bernice get?? I love that hybrid. By the way, I bought a hybrid involving philippinense, roth, and wilhelmniae online which is supposed to come to me this week. The leaf span is only about 8in and it is in spike! Two reasons I bought it without thinking about anything else. lol I am so so excited!!!! |

The seller had about three of the same cross. The one I got was the smallest.
Maybe it means it will also have small flowers? hmmm I guess I will find out. As long as I like the flower shape color, and the plant stays rather on the smallish side, I will definitely keep it. otherwise, out! lol |
