If you can find out the species used in the hybrid, you can use this guide to infer what conditions it likes... Paphiopedilum Data Sheets
Usually there aren't cultivation guides JUST for a hybrid unless it is a really popular/significant one. |
Thank you Nepenthesis :bowing
I thought is popular hybrid :) Paph. King Arthur is mix of Bingleyense x Monsieur de Curte but I can't find these two on the list :( I'm sorry, now I know why I can't find it... |
Paphiopedilum King Arthur is an easy grower. It will do well under any average orchid condition.
When you have one or more mature unbloomed growths, give it 3 weeks with cooler night temperatures. If you normally grow at 20 deg C, give it 14-15 C nights. That initiates the buds. |
Thank you very much Fairorchids :D
Can you tell me something about watering? :) Should I watered it less ( when it has a cold nights). When should I watered it more? So so sooorry for my english ;) |
Watering schedule depends upon what the plant is growing in, temeperature & humidity.
If potted in moss (spaghnum, possibly with some bark), in winter you should water once every 8-10 days. In summer every 3-4 days. If potted in bark mix, in winter every 6-7 days, in summer every 2-3 days. Very light dose of balanced fertilizer (1/3 of dosage per package), once a month in winter, every 3-4 waterings in summer. Make sure to drench the plant when you water it, so you wash out excess fertilizer. |
Thank you so much Fairorchids :)
