Introduction: A decision to stop lurking
Hi guys, a newbie here who's been lurking around for sometime now.
I live in the Philippines but the irony of it is that I didn't grow up with orchids around, which as we know is endemic in my country. My mom is definitely not an orchid fan :( But now that I have my own family and a place of my own. I decided to grab some regular orchids from the orchid farm and give it a shot. They were not so healthy-looking, no name tags at all (probably cause they're so cheap :whistling ). But I'm determined to bring them back to health and that's why I joined this community. I find this site educational so probably I'll be hanging around more frequently |
Welcome to Orchid Board :welcome:
Glad you decided to get some orchids. Such a great place to grow them! |
Welcome! You're lucky to live in an area where you can grow orchids outdoors. Good luck.

Welcome to the Orchid Board from the OCRC in China.

:welcome: Awesome place to grow outside. Glad you could join us

:thankyouThanks for the warm welcome guys. Indeed, my orchids are all outside with a slight shade from a young avocado and mango tree. I will be posting pictures of them while they are still in their 'undernourished' condition and hope to see their progress as the weeks pass by. And hopefully so, you guys would help me recognize them as well. They are all dendrobium-phaleanopsis I belive but they don't have name tags. Anyways, some are in bloom and other members might recognize them. :scratchhead:

Hello and welcome to the Board. How I wish I had a tree for mine. They have to make do with pots and mounts.
