I think you may have a spike! If it was a root I think it would be showing the white velum by this stage of growth. May be wrong tho....Jean

The picture is kind of blurry or I need more coffee. Another week or so you will be able to tell.

I'm thinking spike too, it doesn't really show the classic"mitten" shape but it really doesn't look like a root so I'm thinking positive! Thanks for the reply!
