Just love this plant.

Lovely flower!. Two questions,

1. Is it fragrant?

2. what's it's habit, ie: pBulbs+leaves or canes etc?

Maybe it's best you don't tell me. I'm about to be killed by my better half if I don't stay off the damned eBays :D

It was known as an Epicattleya I think. It has large cymbidium style bulbs & flowers from every new growth. It does have a scent, depending on room temp.

I'm safe then. My personal rules are it has to be micro-to medium growing at biggest, fragrant and preferably with well defined pBulbs. Sounds like this beauty would grow a little on the large side for my tastes.
Really a great looking flower though, but then I love me some Encyclias, and this really has that 'look' about it IMO.

Also I just realised we don't live all that far from each other. I'm in Beulah, an hour and a bit north of Horsham. Small world! :D

Yeah, it will grow into a large plant in a short time.

I love it! It would be nice to see more of these Cattleya/Encyclia crosses available.

I have a radiata that I'm itching to try crossing with a cat. I like the idea of breeding for fragrance, and radiata seems a great place to start, being highly fragrant and having nice, clean blooms to work with as a template.

So far Cattleya nobilior is at the top of my list, I just need to find one :) Cattleya aclandiae would also be an interesting mix if I could hunt one down.
