Paphiopedilum sukhakulii; first blooming for this little plant, possibly the reason for the petals not being held so wide and large as mature plants.

Nice spotting on the petals. The petals are a lot wider and the pouch is not quite a narrow and pointed as mine usually is.

Yes, I think it will know better by next year and flower like it should do. Happy none the less.

Thank you, Kim, I'll be interested to see what it looks like in a few days - whether the petals widen and generally open up more.

Mine's just opening up its first bloom. I'll post pics when it's fully open.
