Ever been irritated with a name tag?
 

Believe it or not, this orchid has a tag but I have little idea what it is. Just can’t read much of the tag. My granddaughter and I stopped at a nursery that was open to the public last Saturday and she fell in love with two orchids. Both were beautiful and one’s bloom was almost gone but both had tags and only cost a couple dollars each so I let her get them. I didn’t bother to read the tags when there but once we got them home, I looked at the tags and one was readable but the other had a lot of the information gone. I think the one with the damaged tag is a Blc hybrid with most of the name scraped off but the last part is “Beauty”. The first cross was scraped off but the last is “Blc Love Sound ‘Pachi Pachi’ “. Searched all over the web for that particular combination but struck out.

Even though the bloom is almost gone, and with the little that is still on the tag, can anyone determine what the name of this thing might be?

I looked in OrchidWiz at all the registered progeny of Love Sound with photos. Unfortunately I couldn't find yours at all........

Sometimes the grower has a catalog number at the top if the tag. If it does email them and they can probably tell you the cross.

I read somewhere that you can try taking a picture of the tag, put it on your computer, and play around with the contrast. Sometimes the rest of the name will show up if you get the color contrast just right.
