Phalaenopsis pallens
Here is my pallens right after I bought it at the Paris show in january:
http://pix.toile-libre.org/upload/or...1386544460.jpg In september, it changed into this: http://pix.toile-libre.org/upload/or...1386544556.jpg http://pix.toile-libre.org/upload/or...1386544703.jpg http://pix.toile-libre.org/upload/or...1386544749.jpg (in case you wonder, I'm late into posting my pics… others comin' ;) |
Nice, big difference in the color, or is it due to the lighting? It looks like that the base of the lip has purplish color in yours. Did you pollinate the flower in the last photo (the anther cap is removed)?
Same camera, same lighting, it's all culture/environment/maturation of the plant. I really wonder what's next. :)
Be careful with the light colors like the slight purplish, it may be camera/photoshop born. I'll see next time it'll flower, with the new camera. Yup, there was a little accident while I was taking the pics, and it ended up starting some Gene Tobia cross. ;) |
Lovely!
I know that temps while buds are developing can affect the color ... |
WoW!
Pretty.
Really lovely flower!
And it will have babies, the pod exploded early, and the seeds are to be in agar very very soon. :)
Less than 2 months? That seems to be too quick, doesn't it?
I posted the flowers late, it was the blooms end of september. ;)
