Phal with no leaves and bad roots!

Hello everyone!
I bought this phal about a year ago and not knowing much about orchids I thought I had completely killed it. About a week ago, I was planning to throw it out when I saw that the roots still had some green in it.I decided to revive this guy, but seeing that he has no leaves and bad roots I'm not sure what to do. I placed it in potting mix with bark, but mold grew on it, so I moved it to this little set up. I sprinkled cinnimon on it as well as some hydrogen peroxide before I made this set up. I've been wetting the roots under a sink once to twice a day depending on how moist it looks. Any other or better suggestions?

Looks dead to me. Sorry

Sorry, orchids with no leaves will almost always die. :(

Sometimes it's better to cut your losses and try again. This is one of those times.

Understood. I guess I'll just have to buy myself another orchid to make me feel better haha :p

A great thread to read before getting your next Phal is http://www.orchidboard.com/community...ends-here.html
Most of the best information is in the first several pages.

One more thing, when treating orchids in the future don't put cinnamon on the roots, it draws out the moisture and makes it very hard for them to draw in water.

Thanks for the help guys!
I also have another question, but I don't want to start a new thread.

Does this phal look like it is receiving too much light? It just began to spike after I gave it supplemental lighting via full-spectrum compact fluorescent bulb, but some of it's leaves are also beginning to turn a brownish green although the leaves are still very turgid.

I think a little blushing of the leaves is fine, as long as it doesn't have any burn spots, which it doesn't seem to have.
