doritis pulcherrima alba
2 Attachment(s)
One more just added to the collection. I keep convincing myself that if I stick to small orchids, I'm not really "cheating" on my oath to slim down my collection. I'm not certain if this is a true alba, but the label says it is. The colony consists of around a dozen plants, and at least five spikes are in various stages of development. This and the coerulea-flowered form are what I'm now considering my winter experiment; hopefully they will turn out to be fairly hardy.

Adorable pretty little flowers. Such long spikes on a large specimen plant.

Lovely!

Nice plant and flowers. And yes, it is a forma alba from a botanical point of view, as it lacks all rose, red and purple colours.

Very elegant!

Beautiful, I hadn't realised that these had such long spikes!
