Anyone grow Oeceoclades?
 

Can anyone verify this orchid as an oeceoclades? From my research, this is the closest I have found. I repotted it today. I have had it about a month and half. It has been mostly in my garage in cool, shady temps. I read they like dry and shady culture. I have barely watered it and when repotting I found it has a new growth and also new roots growing. When I un potted I found it in medium that looked like potting soil. So, I placed it in leda and sphagnum for moisture so it didn't get shocked.

Is the orchid oeceoclades and does my potting job look ok for it? I down potted several sizes. I pictured the new growth in the second picture. Thanks for looking :)

It looks like it could be an Oeceoclades sp., but if so it is different from the O. maculata that I have. Nice leaf patterns!

My first idea was Oeceoclades too. But the leaf pattern doesn't match with the species I've seen. The more I am thinking over it I am tempted to say it might be a Bulbophyllum. I'll do some more search as I cannot tell you more for the moment.

I think it comes very close. Do a picture search and tell me what you think.
I think, keeping it a bit on the dry side is okay, but I would keep it intermediate to warm, and with higher light intensity.

I completely ignore mine and its spiking.. I thought it was about 2 years from blooming and one day I walk in and there is a big spike.. lol I neglect it so much but then again, its in avivarium so there is no work to do there.. lol

anyhow I have a Paph with the leaves like that so I love this foliage its cool:)

The pictured plant does not match Oeceoclades. I have them growing all through the forest garden, and your plant is much different. I'm not use to seeing the prominent pseudobulb on the plants at my place.

I agree that it looks a lot like the psychopsis papilio. Thanks so much with your help for the ID! The bulbs and pattern look exactly like it and it has a tall spike with orangey flowers, which I was told is what it has. I will see how it does under my care. It seems resilient since I have not done anything with it and it is growing a new growth.
I don't think it liked my repotting it seems the roots dried up a bit.

euplusia is right....I have that orchid plant. Put some water on the saucer and when it goes dry its time to run water under the sink then drip dry....do not over water.....if you get a spike never cut it....ever.... unless it falls off by itself=the flowers keep on coming from that same spike for years....with your picture: repot after 2 years....do not fuss over it just give it all the freedom, bright shaded light and warmth.
