Decided to tie this vanda on a tall wrightia religiosa shrub couple of months back. It rooted well around the wrightia stem and start putting up a flower spike.

I managed to save some space this way and the orchid is happy.

Is that a keiki growing off the principal plant?

Yup, it was a keiki, but i have since separated it from the parent plant, so it's now 2 plants mounted side by side.

Such an ingenious idea! Its space saving and it is very stable. You have humidity and warmth in your atmosphere that is why it is advisable to grow them outdoors.
