It's a beautiful Russian variety that I was pleased to get from the violet barn!!! It has been a slow but steady grower, but it was worth the wait.

Beautiful!!!

I keep telling myself I want to get a few of these, but never have yet.

I would love to get these in blue and violet.

I grew streps when I was a teenager and now quite a few years later am looking to get back into them. My favorite gisniriad, these Russian clones are unbelievable though I'm looking for a sentimental favorite, a pure violet one with a yellow throat and long arching stems. It died when I went off to college, mom just loved it to death with water. Yours is very nice.

I sowed seeds of Streptocarpus mixed colors about two weeks ago. The seeds were like dust... lol! I noticed today they have sprouted, about a hundred of them, and they are the size of the point of a pin! I can barely discern them against the micro fine perlite I mixed them with in order to sow. I just used a sanitized potting mix (microwaved one quart for two minutes) with a bit of extra perlite added as the germination media. The person from whom I purchased the seeds says I can have blooming sized plants in six to eight months if I take good care of them. We'll see about that, it just seems impossible at this point in time... lol!

That, I would be interested in trying. How are you watering the seedlings? Self-watering container?
