Great blooming! Wish my plant would get the urge to flower!

It looks like you've had this one a while! Very nice, well done.

Very pretty. I have a Christmas cactus that always bloomed faithfully but now it never gets enough light to bloom...all the other plants and the orchids have taken over. After looking at yours, I think I should remedy that.

Easter Cactus

Hi everyone; And thank you. I've had this plant for over 20 years. I got it when I volunteered at the U of Mich. Friends of the Matthi Botanical Gardens ( now disbanded) It's 24 inches across and 18 inch. tall. As you can see I keep it hanging to keep it off the ground and out of the way. She hangs on the north side of the build. and get almost no direct sun until very, very late in the day. Then she comes in the house on Oct. 31. when the other cactus ( Christmas ) need to come in. One more thing she HATES to be repotted and will do a lot of sulking when the time comes for it. JamesL

I just bought a few pots of beautiful Christmas cactus of different colors.

They last so short in bloom for me, but they are so cheap that I buy every year.

Tis the time!

By the way, leafmite, how do you make them rebloom? I read about the shorter day length, but does temperature play any role??
