Cambria? Miltassia? Something like that...

Hi folks.

A pleasant suprise here, I'd never really had a good look at this plant - just glanced past it and if anything probably thought it was a slow-growing cymbidium. Turns out it's not a cym, I saw the two buds yesterday and this morning one had opened.

This looks an awful lot like it but it's merely described as a cambria and "Híbrido de Miltónia e Brássia" which is not very useful:

Orquideas Almeida - Um blog de Orquideas: Miltassia

And this miltassia isn't a million miles away:

Miltassia : Tous les messages sur Miltassia - Les orchidées de Shaiya

Needless to say after trawling through thousands of photos I haven't got a name yet. Any ideas? Or a better idea of what it may be? Cambria doesn't feel quite right to me...

Cheers,
Aus.

Lovely!

Certainly a hybrid with Miltonia and/or Brassia ... Aliceara, perhaps ...

Maybe someone will recognize it :)

It's not a million miles from Maclellanara Yellow Star, but that's not it.

It could also be a brassidium of some sort...

I'm giving up again, this is too frustrating.

Cheers,
Aus.
