Here's another Laelia purpurata werkhauseri, also striata, this time with little less keeled petals.

I like this one, Mauro. I'll order that cross you recommended ('Minha Gilda' x werkhaueseri 'Superba'). Maybe I get something beauty (like yours)!!

I can not tell you how much I love this orchid. One of my top favorites of all. Just can't get enough of this one.

One thing I can tell you, Gloria: you're not alone. I grow at least seven or eight of this werkhauseri with stripes in the petals, and also some without them. I think I can fully understand you! It is a beauty, for sure!

Steve, it really is a desirable flower in all aspects. I didn't want to meristem it before until I had a cut as a back up, you know. Now that the cut is established and well, the main plant next growth will be sent to a professional lab for the cloning procedures. Then, when the seedlings reach a reasonable size, we'll have to figure out a way of sending some for you.
I also selfed it two years ago, but just a few seedlings were saved (fungal infection).
