Zygonisia Cynosure var blue water sailing

this has 9 blooms this year, on one stem. The colours are stunning and my cell phone camera doesn't really do them justice.

Lovely! I have one of these and can't seem to strike the right balance with watering. What's working for you?

I thoroughly water weekly, its in a clear pot so I can ensure that the sphag is moist too. It has a lot of roots and they change colour to green with watering.
Mix is medium bark interspersed with long-strand sphagnum moss ( about 80/20 ).
I fertilise, weakly, at every watering and alternate fertilisers. I do this irrespective of the season.
Its in a south-facing window without protection, about 2 feet in, so it does gets a fair deal of sunlight.
It also reliably spikes with each new growth. This is the first time however with so many blooms. Usually gets 1-3 blooms per spike. I got this plant in January 2012 as a bigger seedling.

Gorgeous blooms and a great show with so many! Congratulations!

update - a new growth and a spike that's evident in the photo.
Also a photo showing 2 seedpods. They are relatively large when compared to the size of the mother plant. The last seedpod took 8.5 months to dehisce.
I don't know why more people don't grow this hybrid - its small, easy grower and 1 bulb = 1 spike. Fairly spectacular flowers....
