Phalaenopsis stem propagation?

I have heard of stem propagation as a means for vegetative propagation for Phalaenopsis. However, I have found very little online with regard to actually doing this. There actually seems to be way more information on cultivating orchids from seed.

Has anyone out there tried doing stem propagation? Any success? I would love to hear what others have to say about this.

Thanks

Sorry, I'm not quite understanding what you mean.

Is Orchid Origins a website, a company . . . ? Who is Shane?

Thank you

[Edit]
Oh, . . . OK, found it. Orchid Origins A company that provides this service. Much appreciated, but I was trying to find out if anyone has tried doing this on their own, & possible instructions.

Thanks

Here is a link where you can read more about node propagation in general and also specifically for phals.

If I recall correctly, one of our members here does it, Ben Belton... He would/should at least be able to steer you in the right direction. Good Luck!

Once you figure it out, you should post a tutorial for others! ;)

You rang? :)

Here is another link on the Phoenix Orchids page.

You can find lots of videos on YouTube about how to work in a sterile environment. I think is where a lot of people aren't sure of what they need to do.

Hello, I just watched part of a video on stem propagation. (will get back to it later)although the part I did see was interesting, that they soaked the cuttings in a solution of 10 ml of household bleach to 90 ml of water for about 15 minutes, agitating every couple of minutes to sterilize.
I have a plant that has produce new leaves at a point where another stem joins it, and I'm not sure whether to leave it until something happens or cut it off the stem and throw it into some medium.

Can you post a pic? Sounds interesting.
