Can I Convert Now On Phrag Besseae?

I just purchased this little wonder and I read that they like water and lots of it. My little one arrived in a 2.25 in pot. Am I going to hurt this orchid if I go ahead and put in S/H? Is so hard for me to determine new root growth on orchids with small roots.

Linda, I'm no expert in s/h, and know even less about Phrags (though they're on my list of get to knows). I do know as you've already mentioned that new root growth is crucial to success in s/h. Maybe wait until it's growing a new fan?? Then your odds of having new root growth going on will be much higher. Ray will probably have a better idea.:)

Aslong as your phrag is in active growth you can repot :D

Happy Growing!
