Dtps = Doritaenopsis = Doritis x Phalaenopsis

While I'm on this subject...

Phal = Phalaenopsis

Doritis is now Phalaenopsis so this name should read:

Phal (Leopard Prince x Chia Shiang's Stripes)

"Spider Orchids" = Brassia = Brs

You can repot the Onc relative. If you want to divide it that's fine too. Without a tag, you'll have to wait until it blooms to get a rough idea as to what it could be.

Remove the Phal from the pot and wet the roots thoroughly. Tease the roots inside the same pot, and replace the potting media.

word of caution, the oncid / brassia should be divided only when the plant is making new roots. Do they seem to have the root tips still growing / green?? if so, it should safely be potted up / divided. Otherwise, they can (not always) sulk before growing. When new growths are being made, and new root tips are showing on those new growths is the perfect time to pot up and / or divide oncid family of orchids.

hope this helps
