Hmm ... I'm not certain, but I think this used to be considered a variety of lobbii ? If so, same culture, I would guess...

For lobbii, IOSPE says
Quote:

This species is a hot to warm growing orchid and will do best mounted or in a pot with a well draining medium and regular water and fertilizer but have caution. As the new pseudobulbs develop, fungus can easily occur from overwatering.

For B. Lobii, I use a commercial mix that contains fine to medium bark, coir, coconut husk chips, and perlite. To this I add charcoal and chopped sphagnum (each about 10% of the final mix). I have been giving it light between Phal and Cattleya levels. Water: never let it to completely dry.

BTW, any mix with coir or coconut husk chips should be thoroughly soaked and rinsed before using.

You are very lucky, kababayan. Philippine weather is perfect for any bulbophyllum species. Bulbophyllum normally endemic within 15 degrees above and below equator. I would suggest to place it under the tree or 50% shade-sunlight. They love water so I suggest to water it everyday, 365 days/year. Fertilized it at least once a week and make sure that the water is free of harmfull chemicals. The Philippine humidity and temperature are already perfect for it. However, if you live in Metro Manila, the air pollution is very detrimental to the health of the plant. You can pot it into terracota pot using wood bark, charcoal (not for B-B-Q) and styrofoam or any clean stones. You can also mount it but they will dry quickly. To get the plant to bloom, you need to expose it to a bright light but be carefull not to burn the leaves. Good luck to you.:waving
