For B. Lobii, I use a commercial mix that contains fine to medium bark, coir, coconut husk chips, and perlite. To this I add charcoal and chopped sphagnum (each about 10% of the final mix). I have been giving it light between Phal and Cattleya levels. Water: never let it to completely dry.
BTW, any mix with coir or coconut husk chips should be thoroughly soaked and rinsed before using. |
