My husband bought me this, I've had for nearly two years. It has flowered three times, but it has started doing this and I don't know what to do. Please help

What exactly are you referring to? I am assuming the roots at this point, but they look quite healthy to me. If anything, you might need a tad larger pot, but not too large as they like to be root bound.

I don't see anything out of the norm, either. I think it looks happy!

I've never had an orchid before, and wasn't sure if this was correct or not. Didn't want to repot it and it dies.

It see like you have been taking care of it just fine. I hope you buy/acquire more. When you are going to repot make sure not to use potting soil. Look for the same material you are using now.(bark)

Orchids often grow what we call arial roots, which are all of those roots outside of the pot growing all crazy like. They do this because they are seeking out further sources of nutrition and places to secure itself. It's important to remember that the type of orchid you have actually grows on trees, hence it's need to send those crazy arial roots out in search of nutrients.
