my little greenhouse on the roof of my house
 

here it is, it is not finished yet, still needs some technologies to be installed and some improvements, like replacing the plastics with polycarbonate, structure is made with Galvanized and painted metal.

size is around 20 - 25 sq meters in my rooftop, i do have around 80+ square meters for more orchids space when plants demand it.

my space is half full. (not half empty). at this rate , will need to increase the size of my greenhouse in 8 months to a year.

my wife and i spend time in this space when i am stressed, and when plants needs the caring love of this orchid slave, it is my little piece of heaven at 2670meters above sea level

Mexico City doesn't get frost, its is good to have an indoor / outdoor garden.

we do get hailstorms (2 or 3 each year).

plastic is very thick and supposedly it can withstand a hailstorm. just to be safe i added a shadecloth as cover in the areas where my plants are being grown. still there are some areas that could use the reinforcement, but i am holding it for now, since i want to get polycarbonate as a more durable option for the chids house.
