Help me correct my record keeping wrongs, I suspect that the below is Vanda (Merv. L. Velthuis x V. Srakaew) but not quite sure. It's popped out in bloom for me just the other day, about 10 buds in total to open. Flower size about 5 inch. Top petals light lavender and bottom petals cream coloured.

Grown full sun all day on lava rock bed with some mokara and aranda.

Yes it is. I have this one as well, you can check my threads. Mine has a spike so big that it is no long upright but on its side and still buds left to open
At least 20 blooms or more regularly. Dbl spike just pushing out as well. Idk how I will secure all those heavy 5-6 inch blooms. :scratchhead::scratchhead:

Thanks mate! Really appreciate it. Yeah mines a prolific bloomer as well. I lost a cracker spike 3 months ago to budworm. I'm happy with this spike as well and just found my bag of bamboo garden stakes. Hopefully in a few days I will post with all blooms out.

It is a semi terette Vanda that is fragrant early mornings....

Well i ended up having to stake the spike, was getting too heavy for the plant. Here is an updated photo, still waiting on a couple more buds to open.

Nice! Mine is still in bloom and has one bud left to open. Its massive and i didn't even bother trying to figure out how to secure the spike upright. Its like 20 blooms and they are 5.5 to 6 inches in size; talk about heavy! I surprised it hasn't broken off. To think that its not yet done blooming and there is a dbl spike now coming up. Its a very strong large plant of mine. Is yours a young plant? I notice that your blooms aren't as flat as mine are. I expected flatter blooms. :hmm

about 6 years old, it's a break off piece from a mate. No idea how old the original plant is/was. Yeah there is a slight curl in the petals, i expect that there would be at least some slight genetic difference with our plants which would be fairly normal even thought they have same parentage.

Mine have slight curls in the petals too, but its not pronounced enough to prevent them from being very flat.
The variations could come from it being a seedling plant.
