Vanda coerulea X

The tag has long since been destroyed by the environment and my record keeping is woeful at best. I've no longer any idea what it should be (maybe Pachara Delight?) but nonetheless, I'm happy to just call it my coerulea x.

It still has 4-5 buds to open and of course, cameras are deceptive, it is slightly more purple in real life.

100% grown outside all year round and some of you may notice some leaf damage. I've had this one for about 5 or 6 years now and it is a very frequent flowerer for me.

Beautiful flower! I would agree with your guess about it being Pachara Delight; the flowers on my plant look very similar.

Very nice. I love the markings on the petals!

That is gorgeous!

Lovely flower.
I also think it is a Pachara Delight by looking at the whole plant. This plant must be more than seven years old.
Some of the leaves got sun burnt, it might be happier under more shade.

Thanks for the comments everyone. Bud, I think I got in 2007 and it was in flower when I purchased it then so has a little age on it, though certainly not my oldest! Yeah, it's been sunburnt alright. Middle of the dry season here so shade is a premium. I have moved it in a little more so hopefully a little happier.

This most certainly is not Pachara Delight. The leaves are much longer and not nearly as compact for it to be. Not to mention the flower and flower shape. I would go more along the lines of V. Tokyo blue or sansai blue...Bai blue perhaps. You are right to call it your coerulea cross though. But coerulea is neither the direct seed or pollen parent.

Whatever it is it's a beauty!

You've certainly got more knowledge than me that's for sure :bowing. I really do need to start keeping proper records. How do you keep your records? I was considering taking a photo of the plant in flower, close up the flower and one of the tag and putting it into plastic sleeve folder.
