swamp cooler for 8x6 Snap n grow

Have had this 8'x6' Snap n grow for about 5 years now and the only way I could cool it in summer was several fans and a mister system, they helped but I still lost plants do to heat stress. I started.looking on CL a few weeks ago and I found a very new unit for a very low price, had to buy it.

Outside temperature is 99f and RH is about 25%, inside GH with cooler, 87f and RH 68%, nice.

I have cooler on low cool and that setting works great just the right amount of air flow. If I turn it up to high It literally will blow the doors open. The nicest thing now is that I can walk in without having to move fans out of way, I can go in anytime I want, so cool.

I mounted a fan a long time ago to ceiling to act as a way to draw air up and to force some hot air out, that fan is the only one I use.

I have cooler and fan on two temperature. Controllers

Let me know what you think.

That looks perfect.
I also found a CL swamp cooler since my temps can get really high in the summer. They're great. The plants have done much better since I got it.

I bought a thermostat for mine which makes it even easier.

I have a Porta Cool swamp cooler and I find it makes a difference for me too. The humidity is pretty low in the greenhouse in the summer and temps pretty warm and this helps increase humidity and cool it down. I have my less heat tolerant plants located closest to it.

Be sure to add something chemical to the well if the swamp cooler. Without it you'll get mold spores galore. I had that issue with my swamp cooler. Wish someone had told me about it before I nearly lost my gongora. But these machines are marvellous and I could not grow without them in Dallas. You can also lower the day temps more and add more humidity just by adding a bucket with some water and a pond fogger in front of the swamp cooler and get a fun fogg. That brings my temps down as low as 70 if I want to when its 104 out.

Wow! That's great! Glad you were able to get your temps down under control.. And great humidity to boot? WooHoo! ;)

Out of curiosity, how well do swamp coolers work for places like the southeastern US? Like say RH @ 60-70%, and +95°F... For example..

I didn't know this, so thanks. Are there special products? I'll be sure to add something next summer but not sure what.
