Hello and welcome to OrchidBoard.

Most people come here because their first phal is in trouble, but you're obviously jumping straight into the hardcore stuff.

Growing orchids from seeds most of all resembles a science project from high school and requires quite a bit of equipment and tools, a LOT of patience and dedication. You can start of by reading these two threads to get an idea:

Yes, but it requires a lot of equipment & time; I've never done it myself. In short, all I know is that it's possible. I'd like to try soon, though.

:bump:
There are posts on this forum telling you how too- I have read them in the past and as said above you need lots of 'stuff' I'm not to sure will be available to you without importing... hopefully someone who knows will post a link for you.
Good Luck!

Yes, it's a project to grow orchids from seed. That said, it is certainly do-able if you are inclined to do so.

Most orchids take a long time before becoming mature enough to bloom tho - it can be a few, to several years.

Take a look at this section of the forum. Look for threads on 'flasking' as that's the technique.

As others have said, it's not as simple as sowing seeds in a pot.

Hi everyone,
Thanks so much for all ur responses. Yeah I managed to get few very interesting info on this forum. But strong headed as I am I will certainly try growing them. Whatever it takes in terms of money, energy or time. If I succeed, it will be an achievement for me.
