Maxillaria who?
Judging by the flower form, particularly the lip, and the tight psudobulb growth, I believe this is a Maxillaria. I'm having difficulty finding the species. I've gone through the pictures on the IOSPE, but I can't place this guy.
Can you help me give this little guy his rightful name? http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j2...ps4e17b913.jpg http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j2...ps657e1902.jpg http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j2...ps0a8c5181.jpg |

Thanks RJ.
On a completely unrelated note, ironically, I know of another "Sqwirl" in Texas. |

It is a Maxillaria. Are you sure it's a species?
It looks like a hybrid between Max attenuata or Max cucculata and Max pulla. If it is a species, it looks very familiar, but I somehow can't place where I've seen this one before. I definitely see a relation to Max pulla, though. ---------- Post added at 08:25 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:20 PM ---------- Maybe Max hematoglossa? |

M. cucullata x meleagris, perhaps? I'm no expert, though.

Max meleagris has a pink flower variation that I believe looks like that.
IOSPE PHOTOS They have a link below the first picture. Do you remember where it came from? That has been on my list for a little while now. The only pink thing on my list I think. |
