Can I mount Masdevallia - Cooling Pot???

Hi guys
some month plus ago I did start thread about Dracula Lotax and it's growing here in hot Florida. I was thinking about different options, like how to make COOL terrarium kind of, or If I can buy wine cooler and use it for nights, etc. At the end, my help came from my supplier of everything for my orchids. When I went to pick up some stuff, I told her I had Dracula, and she showed me this amazing Cooling Pot, you can see exactly what I am talking about on ebay auction # 230943300487. She said it keeps orchids moist and cooler like at least 10 degrees than outside temperature. I did re mount my Dracula on it, and I must say,so far it seems like it is doing absolutely great, I see lot of new growths. So, now I did research, and I have also 2 Masdevallias, Red wing, which is huge and I can't mount it, and than smaller Copper Angel. I know these like pretty much similar scenario like my Dracula, moisture and cooler temperatures, but I never though about mounting Masdevallia. Please, any advice??? Can I do it??? the seller on eBay states they started to use these pots for their Pleurothallids orchids and they are doing great, and I would love to help my Masdevallia thrive??? What would be suggestions from anyone???:)

For better imagination, I did take pics of the pot with my dracula, and also the masdevallia I would love to mount on it.

There are cooling pots that you plant the orchid in like a regular pot. I have seen them online before. They are white like yours but look more like a regular pot.

Thanks Wynn, I did find these on ebay as well, they are from the same seller, they say cooling pots, white with holes all around, and they keep roots around 10 degrees cooler, so I might get that one, however when I was Googeling Masdevillas and mounting, I did find quite a lot pictures of Masdevillas that are mounted, plus the cooling pot I have for dracula is working great due to the fact it constantly release moist for the roots through the material itself, and I can add the ice cubes at night to achieve even colder temperature drop, so I think I still want to mount the masdevilla. Just wanted to get some intel on how would be the best way to mount one on the same pot like my dracula:-)

I have a few mounted Masdies and I mount and treat them like any other mounted orchid EXCEPT I water them at least twice a day but in the hot months, three times a day.

I have the cool pots for most of my Masdies and they do work well for me. I only have to water them every 3-5 days since they hold the water in the bottom of the pot.

In your heat, the cool pot would be the best option since it is the roots that need to remain cool.

Thanks s much Brooke, I will get one for the smaller one, that one keeps it really moist at all times since there is water inside the pot and the plant is mounted outside, and I will also get the big cooling pot with holes around for the one I have now in basket, so it will cool the roots also. Fingers crossed this will work for them:-)
