Small yellow spots, other problems with Den. woodsii leaves
4 Attachment(s)
I bought a Den. woodsii a few months ago. A couple of weeks after it arrived, I noticed tiny yellow spots on two of the leaves. I thought the problem might be thrips or mites, but after taking a Xanax, I continued investigating and found no evidence of either. There was/is nothing on the underside of the leaves. The plant has been set apart for weeks - the spots are still there, the leaves have not deteriorated any further. However, there is evidence on two other leaves of some sort of viral infection. That is now the bigger worry.
I am a novice and maybe a bit paranoid, but I am ready to incinerate the poor thing. Can someone help me identify the maladies and suggest a course of action? I took the pictures earlier today. JC in Miami |
The black areas are quite concerning. Fungus, perhaps?
The spots in the first pic, I don't know, but a couple of my Cymbidiums got hailed on one year, and got similar looking spots ... Hopefully some other members can be more helpful! |
