Lc Canhamiana alba
 

As I promised, the Canhamiana alba pics. I found an interesting information about this hybrid, in an old book: it is hard to a 'remake' of this alba variety, 'cause if you don't use the 'correct' Laelia purpurata alba (to cross with C. mossiae alba), the result will be lots of colorful plants! The 'correct' and the 'wrong' L purpurata alba are phenotipically albas (source: Silva, W. Cultivo de Orquídeas no Brasil, Editora Nobel, 1976)

Without reminding, I might say it is a white variety of L. purpurata.

It's interesting that different L. purpurata albas will breed differently. This is, of course, true with various albas species bred with each other. You have to find out the hard way and only experience will give you the answer.

Phantasm, this fact probably means that albinism is an active phenomenon, i.e., some active gens need to supress the colors, not a simply passive 'absence' of colors! I don't remember when I read something about that...
