New 'C. HellifIknowiana'.
 

This just bloomed today. I always stroll out to the GH before bedtime just to breath in the musty cool smells. I usually go out in the dark. But I took the camera tonight and took some pics for you all. Not much blooming but a few delights. C. HellifIknowiana :rofl:, NOID Phal, what's left of C. Gaskelliana, Recchara (although the tag may have gotten mixed up at SBOE sale when I bought it :blushing:), Another NOID Phal. I have some more that aren't opened yet. Couple more days/weeks. Hope you all like them. I do. :waving

Wow, They're so Beautiful!! I just Love all those huge colorful blooms! :biggrin: I just came in off my screened porch... also checking on my orchids, Lol. That's a great name you came up with: "HellifIknowiana" :rofl: that's hilarious!

I like the HellifIknowana. It's very pretty. What a unique name!!

Nice batch of bloomers, James. I've got one or two Hellifiknowiana's also. Think I'll label one and see who catches on at the orchid club. LOL

They're all very pretty, James. Summer is always a slow time for orchids since they're all putting on new growth rather than spend energy blooming.

I would swear the Recchara (if I'm guessing the one right) is a very pretty Laelia tenebrosa, I've owned 2 that look like that. The Hellifiknowiana (lol!) a Momilani Rainbow or Mari's Song or one of that group? I've never owned Mari's Song, and my Mom. Rainbow is a rescue only now putting up its 1st sheath. All beautiful as all yours though!

Yes I think the "recchara' is actually a SBOE mislabeled tenebrosa. I went to see the real recchara and they are somewhat different. The C. HellifIknowiana is probably in the Mari's Song group. Just a rescue with no name from a couple years ago. I got it from the San Diego clubs donation table where I get a lot of my plants. But I like my name better. Hmmmmm, wonder if the North Korean orchid society registry would let me name it(-;
