Arundina graminifolia var. alba in the dooryard

This is a terrestrial living in the dooryard together with Arundina type and also the Kenyan Neobenthamia gracilis.

That's beautiful, Mauro

I'm waiting patiently for my Neobenthamia gracilis to bloom. A friend gave me a keiki about a year ago and I've gotten lots of new growth and additional keikis...and on a good day, I can convince myself that I see the start of a spike :blushing:

Very nice.

Mauro, is the plant of this white variety shorter than the typical one(pink-flowered)?
Here, the typical Arundina usually taller than 1 meter.

Yes, Pheli, the white variety is very much shorter than the type. Take a look at the following photo. The bush you see is in my dooryard and is formed by the tall Arundina graminifolia, the short Arundina gram. alba and Neobenthamia gracilis. The white arundina has two flowers barely seen a foot maybe above the grass.

Don't give up, Susanne and you'll be rewarded with balls of white flowers. I planted a large one together with a bush of Arundina graminifolia and it is doing really well. Take a look:

Great growing.

It's interesting to grow these orchids which come from different parts of the world together and they grow so well.

The white variety looks quite smaller than the typical monster. A. chinensis is also a smell size plant like this but it is now regarded as the variety of graminifolia.
