Very nice! Are the pseudobulbs wrinkled?
Interesting combination of colors. Is it fragrant?
It isn't in bloom at this time so can't remember if it was fragrant.
Yes, the pseudos were very wrinkled but it sure didn't hinder blooming!!!
nice one Jane - as always!
Ooooo that's nice! When i get a greenhouse i will grow Lycastes for sure. They are gorgeous!
Yes, this Lycaste is fragrant. I have one. The slugs got to my bugs this last spring. I'm looking for it to bloom this spring.

Jane,
That is very nice! I love lycastes too. And you do not need a greenhouse to grow them!! They can handle low humidity, need a rest period once the leaves start to drop, like shaded spot (behind a thin curtain east window), cool growers 50F-80F (10C-26C), feed heavy when in growth, water at least once a week depending on substrate. More Images Jane!! |
That's really pretty, Jane :D
It looks like the leaves are brushed with bronze...very nice combo :) |
