Very nice! Are the pseudobulbs wrinkled?

Oscarman 06-19-2006 01:47 PM

Interesting combination of colors. Is it fragrant?

L I Jane 06-19-2006 04:56 PM

It isn't in bloom at this time so can't remember if it was fragrant.

L I Jane 06-19-2006 04:57 PM

Yes, the pseudos were very wrinkled but it sure didn't hinder blooming!!!

Ooooo that's nice! When i get a greenhouse i will grow Lycastes for sure. They are gorgeous!

KEGinMichigan 01-21-2007 05:12 PM

Yes, this Lycaste is fragrant. I have one. The slugs got to my bugs this last spring. I'm looking for it to bloom this spring.

Jane,
That is very nice! I love lycastes too.
And you do not need a greenhouse to grow them!! They can handle low humidity, need a rest period once the leaves start to drop, like shaded spot (behind a thin curtain east window), cool growers 50F-80F (10C-26C), feed heavy when in growth, water at least once a week depending on substrate.
More Images Jane!!

That's really pretty, Jane :D
It looks like the leaves are brushed with bronze...very nice combo :)
