Very nice. Paphs are growing on me. Maybe I'll have to try one.

I would, but I would recommend one of the mottled leaf hybrids as a first (I have two of those). This guy is interesting, but not real showy. If you like species there are actually a few clones of this one that are pretty nice.

As you very well know  everything gets a "cooldown" time here in the north  Not sure that's what did it, but Phals and Paphs are budding so maybe so.

Yes yes ok! So no cool down on purpose then eh?!
Whats your tempts running day & night on do you figure?

Rosim_in_BR 11-09-2007 03:42 PM

Cool! Nice work! That's what I was trying to get as a background the other day! Super!
I like fairrieanum, I mean the flower is reduced to almost only its flag, but that's OK. It is a very expensive species here (some people ask as much as U$ 280-300 a plant with two or three small fans) so... maybe someday!

Gloria: Temps are now down to a bit less than 70 degrees F day temps and a bit higher than 60 degrees F night temps. My thermostat is set for 62-67. Hope this helps.

Thanks, I'm honored by the comments. If you want, I'll post a pic (in PM) on how I set it up. I also like the fairrieanum even though it's display is not as "out front" as some hybrids. I still have a pref for species and if this is what they do, then fine with me.
