:hello to one and all, well as my user name says this is the field of orchids we now collect.
We did have a largish collection of specie/hybrid orchids 15 years ago but lost the lot one winters night, power failure which took out the low temp alarm as well as the heating in the greenhouse.
So now all we bother with is phalaenopsis with or without a name, if we like the flower we buy the plant.

One other thing, my partner admits to "tadtad" orchids as a child.

So sorry you lost your collection all those years ago, but it's good to have you here with your NoIDs now :)

what is a 'tadtad'? I'm new to growing orchids, I got my first one last July, it too is a NoId, all of mine are NoIds..I'm finding that I like rescuing the orchids from clearance rack, or getting them on sale after their blooms are gone...

I was wondering the same thing and forgot to ask.
