Its blooming has started. Has over 15 spikes with at least 80 little biddy buds :hello..

It got beat up some in the storm but I took it inside before it got hurt too much. Many of the spikes had already been growing. Tis' Mounted in tree fern and hung outside for a long time in full morning and shaded evening sun 50%. Sphagnum lines the roots and then I wired the sphagnum to the tree fern inside a dug out to hold the plant. Its starting to send roots all thru the fern and have 7 new growths..Its very happy I think :blushing:

Great job, beautiful lip on that one! Hey be careful with the sphag on encyclias unless you're growing it under cover. The one time I used sphag on tree fern for a tampensis it got black rot. Now I just strap them to the tree fern without anything, regardless of having roots or not. The new roots eventually take over the tree fern and they LOVE getting bone dry between waterings. Anyway, you must be doing something right cause its growing and blooming!

Very very nice RJ. I always wanted one. I like the color combo. This is very nice.

Lovely! Fifteen spikes??? Wow! That's awesome!

How big is your plant RJ? I just potted a small one from Carter and Holmes and wondering how far away the flowers are.

thanks you all :waving
The tree fern mount is the largest one they had and its 10" inches across the top. Its a fairly large plant with leaf on the bulbs anywhere from the small new growths to 15 inches long on the mature bulbs.

here it was before it got wacked and after I transplanted it into the fern. Grew a few more spikes since then too.
