Little Tolumnias in bloom again.

In order, Popoki Mitzi, Tequila Sunrise, Pretty N Pink.
First two plants really suffered due to my idle watering last year. They are now flowering. Popoki Mitzi has a very thick spike with lots of flowers on branching spikes. They are all clustered too close to one another. It would have been so nice if they were a little more spaced out. Tequila Sunrise is growing another spike, which also seems to be of the same size. 6-8 flowers probably. still love the bright color. Pretty N Pink, so far the best performing variety I have. It last bloomed early spring this year and it is flowering again now with two new fans going all at the same time. |
Fabulous!

Lovely!

Thank you all!

Lovely little jewels. I'm waiting for mine (burgundy noid) to rebloom. I am going to keep an eye out for the Pretty In Pink. It's a stunner.

and it is a great grower and bloomer too!

Very nice! I am envious! Mine tend to rot after a while. The only one I can keep is a Tolumnia variegata, which seems to like our cool nights
|
That species is also from the Caribbean.
Mine grow mostly hanging by the window, but one or two have always been right up against the window and it does get quite cool at night in winter. Maybe you kept it too wet on cool nights? I've never had rotting issues. I'm busy keeping up with watering them enough. lol |
I think the lowland species need warm nights.
Variegata is from the highlands I grow with Cymbidiums they love it. Yours are beautiful with neon colors!!! I love them. Here are pics of my lone Tolumnia variegata http://i1260.photobucket.com/albums/...psa90496d6.jpg http://i1260.photobucket.com/albums/...ps6d84c154.jpg http://i1260.photobucket.com/albums/...psfb615691.jpg Andrew |
