Polystachya ottoniana

This small African species of Polystachya usually has non-resupinate flowers. The pseudo bulbs look like small pears, growing very tight and in line in my plant.

I love these orchids. I have been looking for some Polystachya to grow in Australia but there's not many available From what I hear they do ok in low humidity conditions and that's what makes them attractive to own for me.

Thanks for sharing your beautiful pictures.

The African Polystachyas are easy growers, Bolero! If you find some I'm sure they won't disappoint you! I also grow Polystachya concreta and estrelensis, two micro mini flowers native to my country, but these two like humid environment.
