Pink and White phals
 

So these were the shopping of the week last week at a local farmer's market.

I have quite a few phals and I say to myself not to get any more phals, but it is just impossible when I see cute ones. ;)

I got three NOID in pink shades ( I took a few pictures trying to show the color pattern, which I think is quite interesting). These are quite small, two of them being miniature size, yet flowers are quite big, over 3 inch across!

Then I got myself one large white phal with a tag!!! :)
Join Grace! Very large round full shape just won me over and had to bring it home. :biggrin:
Pictures are not that good at all unfortunately.
It may look like nothing special, but it is really nice one.
I picked this among many other whites (there were three different white varieties).
Blooms got some scratches and other damage on the way home. :((

Beautiful! how do they get all the flowers to bloom in one direction?

These are farm grown. light from directly above them.

I grow quite a few phals myself. They are some distance from very large south window and all bloom like these in the pictures.
I think the key is not to change the orientation of the pots while the spikes are growing and until the flowers open.
If you do change the orientation of the pot before all the flowers open, you will end up with flowers facing many directions.

Yes, you have to see that white one in person to really see how nice it is. It is not like the common white phal. :)

Wow~ you must be really into white phals.
I'm not familiar with Crystal Springs, but I know American Dream looks nice with great round forms as well.

I really like bright colors usually, but there is just something so pristine about a really pure while Phal.
