impregnated wood for mounting orchids ?
 
Hello everyone
Is impregnated wood intended for forming thd base for roof shingles can be used for mounting orchids ?
As it contains all kind of chemicles I conserned that it might be harmfull to the orchids.

I have many mounted orchids. I would *not* consider any chemically treated wood.

I agree, wood is often treated with poisons that keep termites and other critters from eating it. I would never use treated wood for mounting.

I'd avoid it too. Such wood is often treated with herbicides to keep mosses etc. from growing. Think about that that will do to your orchids!
