Congrats on the first bloom! You have a nice one to boot.

Gorgeous blooms. I like the way it is mounted on driftwood and moss with a crystal bowl and glass pebbles as humidity tray....artful presentation and well photographed.
There are lots of robust roots....
you have a happy healthy plant....good growing

Very pretty Cattleya! How tall are the growths?

Can anyone say extremely gorgeous presentation of this miniature :)

The humidity tray was a last minute choice, as we couldn't get a good shot of it hanging how it normally is. But at least now I know I can potentially display it at a show like this

The growths are approximately from base to leaf split:
On the more youthful pseudobulbs 2-3in, 5-8cm
On the bloomed pseudobulb 4.5in, 12cm

Your mounting and blooms look great!

Triffid 04-24-2013 06:27 AM

Thanks silken!
Just hoping to get more next year. The write ups suggest 2-7 flowers, so one of minimum this year. Must admit I'm proud of this Chid.

Also, a Progress Thread, for mount choice through to growth and bloom for this plant, can be found here:
