Vanda pakchong blue, does anyone own it, know about it?
1 Attachment(s)
I have a seedling vandka p. blue and i've been trying to look for information online randomly and see what people/sellers say about this. But this is where it gets sketchy.. orchid web used to sell it, not anymore.. and there are many places that don't sell it but instead sell vanda pachara delight and it's sooo pretty and it's starting to make me a little upset at my pakchong that it might not be as showy or perhaps it's not a good reliable vanda since it's not being sold much. :_(
I bought it on ebay from a good reputable orchid "eorchids" seller in hawaii and she showed the picture from the vanda she cloned it from. p.s. i've emailed a few sellers asking about it and they say they don't know. |
I'm pretty sure it should be treated the same as any other vanda

Many vendors carry Pachara Delight because it's a nice blue/purple that can bloom several times a year under the right conditions. Many vandas only bloom once a year. Vendors are at the mercy of the companies that mericlone or flask orchids. Whatever plants the breeders and mericloners decide to produce is what the vendors have available to them. Here's what RF Orchids says about Pakchong Blue in their online catatogue.
Product Description (V. Doctor Anek X V. coerulea). Beautiful pale blue flowers heavily tessellated with darker indigo-blue. Good shape and substance. |
