First ever reblooming!!!

Go Vandas at least. I have two types: ascda suksamran delight and Vanda motes indigo. I was told many things about growing these guys so I was never sure if I'd be able to pull it off. I also have two small Vanda types growing in the bigger baskets of those just mentioned.

I think the small Vanda and the cherry ascf look to be the same plants....the one labeled as a Vandas is many more blooms on the spike, however, and the blooms just lightly small. But I'm not convinced of their names. I think the Vanda is actually ascf cherry blossom too. Pity....

How nice! My noID vanda needs to think of blooming soon. :)
The two do look remarkably the same. You should contact the vendor and mention this.

Congratulations on the rebloom! I love the color of that one. Beautiful! I see lots of new root growth also so the orchid is obviously getting excellent care. Good growing.

They kinda stink...the vendor, that is. Every plant I get I inspect like I'm CSI, looking for bugs etc. Even after that I still spray it down like it's a contagious agent.

I should email them, though... they do this all the damn time.

Thanks, Tucker! Coming from you that is high praise because your plants, phals and otherwise, seem to always be in bloom!!!

The motes indigo had two spikes when I got it but they aborted during shipping (I checked them on the plane as the box was so big). And here it is again with two spikes! I'll wait until the next spiking before I call it, but I may have a genetically prone double spiker, which would be awesome!

They are beautiful, but I think you are right. They do look the same. I have a Suksamran sun spot That I am hoping gets a spike soon. It should be bright yellow-orange with red spots. It has regular asco sized flowers but I haven't seen it bloom yet. I hope it hasn't been mixed up with something!

Congrats on the blooms and spikes. Everything looks super healthy!

Awesome! :wtg:

Wow yea you're lucky with the double spikes.
The pachara delight that I just posted also had a spike that blasted when I got it, but it spiked again about a month later. I find that when they want to boom, they'll keep pushing till they do bloom.

I can't wait to see the flowers on your double spiker! The motes indigo Vanda's are really nice plants

I'm looking forward to the Motes! I haven't seen that one.
