I've been wanting to build a vivarium but discovering how cool dart frogs are, I'm going to hold off and down the road do a dart frog/orchid vivarium. Build it into a custom cabinet display and do it right. Anyways so to satisfy my urge to build something. AND since I want to keep most of my collection outdoors for this spring-summer-fall in northern Louisiana, I build an outdoor hanging planter out of a palate! Got a new toy (circular saw, but pissed that all circular saws are made in china nowadays), made some modifications to extend the rows out a little bigger, and shelves for the plants to sit on and viola!

DIY is so much fun isn't it - it always makes me feel like a kid playing with lego! I love the set up you've built - I'm guessing it gives the added bonus of saving water as water from the plants at the top would drip down onto those at lower levels. Good for the planet too! :)
