Hi Debs! I must ask what your son is baiting for in Arkansas ....other then the cute raccoons! Just curious since my husband and I are avid hunters :)

We keep feeders out year around for deer, racoons, squirrels and anything else that's hungry. It's not a matter of baiting as much as it is feeding. Even in Arkansas the habitat is shrinking and food sources with it.

I don't have property big enough to feed using barrels...lol....but I do try and feed the birds and squirrels. I don't think the raccoons are brave enough to come into my house and eat the catfood....the cat's would not put up with it! lol

Becca, my husband and son are avid hunters, too. But I have my land posted!!! LOL
